Giving You The Power To Do More.

INF.I.T. Rehabilitation programs constantly reinforce correct stereotypes of posture and locomotion. With specific stimulation of the central nervous system through manual techniques and exercise therapy, INF.I.T. provides a stable platform and an improved intrinsic environment for sustained progression through rehabiltation to recovery, and onwards towards optimal performance.
To promote recovery following an acute trauma or injury, the body will adopt a defensive posture around the affected site, in order to minimize the risk of further injury or damage caused by overloading. This defensive posture will restrict normal patterns of movement that involve the injured muscles, bones or ligaments, until they have healed. Because of this self defense mechanism, the body will then compensate for the inhibited function, automatically recruiting other muscles to assist with or enable some level of perfomance, if possible at the affected area. Dependant on the severity of trauma and the length of recovery time necessary, these compensatory movement patterns can become habitual, as any action repeated over enough time will do, at the level of the central nervous system. Permanently altering patterns of posture and locomotion long after the injury has healed.

INF.I.T. Rehabilitation programs focus on addressing these dysfunctional movement patterns in the acute phase of rehabilitation. Reinforcing ideal patterns of movement and correct postural stereotypes as soon as is possible following a trauma (eg. discus prolapse). This produces dramatic results over short intensive periods (8 weeks on average). Quickly and effectively reducing pain. INF.I.T. re-establishes an active postural musculature, improving intrinsic joint and core stability, as well as the ability to relax. Relieving pain from tension and more importantly preventing the onset and development of bad habits, that if overlooked at this stage can, and usually do, lead to chronic pain syndromes developing  later in life.
